For me, the residency was a lot about redirecting my attention back to myself as an artist and to my art practice after six months of not being able to be with my artmaking.
Attending to the Cych, Teifi and Dulais, bringing my attention to the river and being in the activity of attending was hugely healing. To attend to the river while also attending to my making and myself as an artist. I think the movement of the river, both its constant presence and constant moving through is a special quality of river. There was also the fact that I knew that later, the river would join the Teifi which is a tidal river: a river that turns and returns.
