Siriol Joyner is an independent choreographer from Aberystwyth, and resident artist at Arad Goch. She originally trained as a classical dancer with the Royal Ballet Associates and was later an Associate Member of National Dance Company Wales before studying Fine Art at Oxford University. She is developing a choreographic practice which investigates the relation between thought & movement and dance & sculpture. Working outdoors, in nature is an important and developing element of her practice. Siriol is engaged in long term choreographic research with the Irish choreographer Ruairi Donovan under the name “CELTIC RADICAL” which explores cultural identity, language and place in both Wales and Ireland.

Hyfforddodd Siriol yn wreiddiol fel dawnsiwr clasurol gyda’r Bale Brenhinol ac yn hwyrach roedd yn Aelod Cysylltiol o Gwmni Dawns Cenedlaethol Cymru cyn mynd ymlaen i astudio Celfyddyd Gain ym Mhrifysgol Rhydychen. Mae’n datblygu ymarfer coreograffi sy’n archwilio’r berthynas rhwng meddwl a symudiad a dawns a cherflun. Mae gweithio tu allan, ym myd natur yn elfen bwysig a datblygol o’i hymarfer. Mae Siriol yn ymwneud ag ymchwil hir dymor gyda’r coreograffwr Gwyddelig Ruairi Donovan o dan yr enw “CELTIC RADICAL” sy’n archwilio hunaniaeth ddiwylliannol, iaith a lleoliad yng Nghymru ac yn Iwerddon.
