Army of Me

Choreographed by / Wedi coreograffu gan: Joanna Young

Created with and performed by / Wedi creu gydag ac wedi perfformio gan: Kirsty Arnold

Mapping the real and the illusionary – drawing on personal reflections, memories, projections and references of both physical reality and imagined events – Army of Me is a portrait of many selves, presented as distorted echoes in a world made of small pieces.  With inspiration from the work and process of visual artist Brychan Tudor, and a series of paintings by Amy Cutler.

She lies down, sits up, stands, and walks.

Yn mapio’r real a’r rhithiol – gan dynnu ar fyfyrdodau personol, atgofion, a chyfeiriadau o realiti corfforol a digwyddiadau dychmygol – mae Army of Me yn bortread o nifer o wynebau, wedi cyflwyno fel adleisiau gwyrgam mewn byd wedi ei greu o ddarnau bach. Gydag ysbrydoliaeth o waith a phroses yr artist gweledol Brychan Tudor, a chyfres o baentiadau gan Amy Cutler.

Mae’n gorwedd, mae’n eistedd, mae’n sefyll, mae’n cerdded.
